The company:

Our client is one of the fasted growing luxury retail brands within the UK. They create products of the finest materials and luxury, with the products gaining international recognition and a dedicated customer base. Currently, they are selling to over 75 countries online and have psychical retail processes across the UK.

With new investment injected into the business, the exciting position for Head of Marketing has been created to elevate their brand to the next level with a rapid growth plan in place for the next 5 years. The plan includes development into new product categories and growing internationally with their stores, retail partners and e-commerce channels.

The role:

The role is a Head of Marketing which will be based within their Edinburgh office. The role is vital in developing and implementing the marketing plan across the different marketing mixes to ensure optimal sales, whilst staying within the brand values. Working across online, retail and wholesale channels, you will be vital in building the brand across different global markets.

Working closely with the CMO, you will lead the marketing team and collaborate with different departments to ensure the brand is set up for their growth objectives.

With the exciting investment that has been injected into the business, this is a great opportunity for someone to come in and make a stamp in the luxury marketing world.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing the marketing calendar and building the brand via high impact campaigns to optimise sales channels
  • Ensuring all activity is delivered on time and within budget
  • Overseeing collaborations with press, influencers, or celebrity activity, ensuring that it aligns with brand values
  • Present marketing progress to the Board, through reporting and measurement methodologies
  • Being responsible for creative concepts for the different marketing mixes to continue to enhance brand image and products, ultimately extending reach
  • Collaborate with different area of the business such as ecommerce and retail teams to continue to build on brand image; implement visual merchandising concepts
  • Overseeing line-management responsibilities (with four direct reports across marketing and PR)
  • Consulting the team on workload management
  • Goal setting for the team
  • Mentoring and coaching of line management reports


Key skills/Experience required:

  • Extensive experience of creating and executing a global marketing calendar, including collabs and partnerships, pop-ups and other experiential brand activations
  • Experience operating in our key markets (North America, Asia, UK) and knowledge of how to achieve the right global / local balance
  • Multi-channel experience including the ability to build on relationships with key wholesale partners as well as retail teams
  • A creative thinker,
  • Extensive leadership skills, able to demonstrate authority in managing teams, whilst inspiring, mentoring and supporting 4 direct reports
  • An excellent organiser
  • A hands-on approach, happy to roll their sleeves up a
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to deliver sparkling copy for product, web, brand and general marketing purposes
