The pay rate on offer is £350 - £450 per day.

The client is a large, multinational high-street retailer.

Summary

The client's Food business is synonymous with quality and fresh innovation. Adverts are distinctive, eye-catching and mouth-watering. They rely on their creative and driven team to remain on top of their game in everything they do.

The Food Art Buying team is a busy, creative team who are responsible for all food photography in the business. They are looking for an Art Buyer who can specialise in food packaging and sit within the packaging team, to help them manage and deliver a large number of projects over a short space of time.

Key accountabilities

  • Reading, understanding and interpreting creative briefs
  • Asking relevant creative queries in advance of the event
  • Managing budgets, finances (raising POs, dealing with PO queries in a timely manner)
  • Adhering to set processes
  • Working with internal production teams and external creative teams
  • Attending photoshoots where applicable
  • Managing several projects at once, anything between 5-50 shoots at any one time
  • Writing shoot confirmations and updating shoot status charts
  • Requesting, checking and chasing samples
  • Answering Art Directors queries promptly
  • Checking high res assets for file naming, adherence to brief, rejecting where necessary
  • Archiving assets
  • Purchasing stock images
  • Raising Purchase Orders, checking invoices, adhering to rates, negotiating usage

Key experience and skills

  • Looking for a highly organised, extreme multi-tasker, with a passion for food photography
  • You will span the roles between creative and co-ordinator
  • You will have a background in retail, advertising, or marketing
  • At least basic experience in creative and project-based software (e.g., Photoshop, Excel)
  • Strong numeracy skills - ability to use financial systems and manage budgets, deadlines, etc. effectively
  • Confident in your ability to take direction well and interpret briefs, as well as forward thinking to ask questions and plan for future projects
  • Great communication skills
