Welder/Fabricator - Kent

I am actively recruiting for a Welder/Fabricator - Kent on behalf of a world-leading provider of unmanned air, land and surface vehicle targets for training and weapon system test and evaluation.

The Welder/Fabricator is required to carry out welding and fitting tasks to schedule on site.

The Role

Main Responsibilities include -

  • Manufacture and assemble as instructed by the departmental supervisor, fabricated and mechanical components, structures and vessels from drawings.
  • Manufacture and assemble all metal fabrications ie ferrous and non-ferrous using appropriate equipment and processes provided, for example MIG, TIG, Electric Arc, Guillotine, Folder, Drill etc.,
  • Manufacture from drawings and to identify where improvements in function, efficiency and quality can be achieved.
  • Work in co-operation with all departments in the Production facility and show by results, an adequate standard of skill training of personnel.
  • Ensure goods are cost effectively manufactured and meet the quality standard of the company.

Requirements for the Role

  • Demonstrable experience of Welding/Fabricating of around 5 years
  • Competent MIG Welder with experience working on medium to large products
  • IT proficient with good writing skills.
