I recruit for a FTSE 250 Engineering Support Services Organisation who operate an outsourced contract for the provision of education and training services to the Royal Navy. The training services comprise Naval technical and tactical training and education, delivered by instructors as well as training support (e.g. training planning, equipment support, routine maintenance and training design).

The main requirement of the role is to consistently deliver high quality training to Warfare and XHM officer students, UW, and AWT Students of all ranks in accordance with formalised training documentation and in line with Company standards and contractual requirements. There is an enduring need to be ready to multi-skill and work flexibly across roles and tasking within the Warfare Department, as commensurate with brought in skills, and/or as augmented by internal training.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver leadership training and courses and other training delivery tasks associated with Divisional Training in line with the contract.
  • Multi-skill and work flexibly across roles and tasking within the Warfare Department, as commensurate with brought in skills, and/or as augmented by internal
  • Ensure compliance with MoD regulations and procedures
  • Training planning in meeting the contracted training schedule and programme
  • Provide support in the form of Subject Matter Expert to Technical Delivery and Quality Audit staff
  • Comply with company health, safety and environmental procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • Qualified in/be prepared to work towards and achieve DTTT (Defence Train The Trainer) Level 4.
  • Instructional experience in a military environment (within the last 5 years)
  • Divisional Officers Course (successfully completed)
  • Hold Management Qualification
  • Experience and knowledge of submarine communications systems.
  • Hold or be able to obtain SC security clearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good people management skills
  • Displays flexibility, enthusiasm, drive and commitment
