Role: Warehouse Operative / Materials Handler

Location: Cardiff - CF14 7YT

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £9.84/hour

My client are currently looking for an experience Warehouse Operative to join their team in Cardiff on an initial 6 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork lifts
  • Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments
  • Process material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management system
  • Work with appropriate logistics and production personnel to resolve/prevent shortages
  • Perform cycle audits and physical inventory per schedule.
  • Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to Supervisor
  • Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies
  • Read and follow work instructions and bills of materials
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
  • Liaise with the Kitting Team leader to escalate any inaccuracies or errors

Materials Handler / Warehouse Worker Candidate Criteria:

  • Demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak in local language
  • Proficient in basic mathematics
  • Ability to communicate well and work with others
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to consistently lift
  • Desirable but not essential - Counter balance fork lift licence

Material Handler / Warehouse Worker Vacancy Details:

  • Standard hourly rate = £9.84 per hour (Week: 8am-4pm or 7.30am-3.30pm)
  • Overtime may be offered during periods of high production demand
