UX Designer

Our client is looking for an experienced UX Designer who has expertise in User Interaction to join their team in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current GIS user interaction and recommend some usability improvements
  • Work with the BCI and the GIS Architect to optimize the user interaction workflow with the tools to help make the tool efficient and easy to use with minimal training required
  • Work with the BCI, the GIS Architect, and Subject Matter Experts to design a new set of symbols for the greater amount of data that can be represented, taking into account the existing symbols our clients users are familiar with, the need for visibility when overlaid on a map, and accessibility requirements
  • Specify the design for a graphics artist to create the symbols


  • Experienced User Interaction Designer
  • Skilled with UX design principles and able to work with end users and different teams to specify improvements in the design to improve user experience
  • Able to construct a UI Design Style Guide for projects to follow so that they deliver a consistent look and feel, and a visual language end users can easily understand
  • Able to specify design requirements to a graphic artist to produce new map symbols, taking into account all accessibility needs
