Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Unity Developer to join us at our offices in Bristol Business Park, Stoke Gifford. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in the UK and around the world, delivering complex sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

Adapting the way we visualise data has seen major growth in industry over the last few years and Babcock are no exception. As we move from terms like "User Interfaces" into "User Experiences" the Marine enterprise is building on existing knowledge and turning it into real life experiences that change the way we operate. As a Unity Developer you'll join the digital revolution of our dockyards and assets, understanding and influencing how the journey to a Digital Dockyard looks along with the progressive programme that is aimed to deliver a Connected Platform.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll hold a 2:2 BEng (Hons) degree or a 2:2 BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science, Creative Technologies or related subject. You'll also have significant experience of using Unity software'

We would also like you to have the following attributes:

  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Creativity and a passion for detail
  • A critical thinker who's naturally curious

Lastly, you'll need to be able to deploy excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills (both verbal and written) and have the ability to engage effectively with people across the business

What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
