Purpose: Meggitt's Finance Shared Service function operates from 2 locations, Ansty in the West Midlands, UK and Akron, Ohio in the US. The team support 17 businesses across North America and Europe. As a key member of the Finance Shared Service leadership team, the UK FSSC Lead will manage a team of 26 (of which 3 are based in the US) through 4 direct reports. They will manage all aspects of business as usual of the UK FSSC and be passionate about their role adding value through the development and continuous improvement of controls, process, systems and teams. Responsibilities: Manage the periodic processing and key controls for multiple company ledgers including but not limited to Accounts PayableAccounts ReceivableExpensesMonth end closeFixed assetsVAT returns and Intrastat submissionsIntercompanyBalance Sheet ReconciliationsJournalsUndertake an end to end review of the above processes, making recommendations and implementing improvements in line with Meggitt FSSC and Group strategyDrive a culture of continuous improvement through control, process and system improvement projectsManage all relevant SLA's and production of KPI'sEnsure the timely resolution of queries and disputesManage 4 direct reports including objective setting, performance reviews and development planningAd hoc duties as requested by the Group Head of Finance Shared ServicesKey skills and experience required: Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMAMinimum of 5 years' experience of managing core financial processes in a shared service environmentSignificant management experience within of a large PLC or limited companySignificant experience of delivery process improvement initiativesSignificant experience of imbedding best practice control environmentsExperience managing teams remotely (captive or outsourced)Working in a continuous improvement mind setExcellent working knowledge of ExcelDesirableWilling to travel internationally on an as required basis (when allowed)Working knowledge of SAP To apply please send your CV's in the first instance.
