UI/UX App Designer


As a new Designer, you will work on the strategic mobile product team. Your primary goals will be to design new features our product to assist in achieving our end goal, credit building. We need a strong Specialist UI / UX App Designer to contribute to and help shape this digital proposition. This role will be working with a focused mobile squad and requires a hardworking, motivated, collaborative and deadline driven individual who advocates user-centred design and uses data and insights to inform their decisions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Discovery
  • Define
  • Produce clickable prototype
  • Perform design critiques
  • Review existing UX for our product
  • Design new app journey for our product
  • Design the (UI)user interface of our product
  • Prepare design work into sprint ready deliverables
  • Support the delivery of UI through development
  • Validate designs with customers (using userzoom)

Skills and Experience


  • Extensive experience and a strong portfolio showcasing projects worked on and the results of your work.
  • Expert knowledge in the use of Sketch, InVision, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expert knowledge of UX and UI design and the principles when designing for native devices
  • Confident communicator with solid writing and visual communication skills
  • Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools to demonstrate your design approach
  • Experience with iterative testing to validate designs


  • Good analytical skills
  • Understanding of Accessibility standards (W3C)
  • Experience working within an Agile team (SCRUM/KANBAN)
