Training Needs Advisor - UK

A large Engineering and Sciences Company are recruiting for a Training Needs Advisor who will be essential to the success of their Training Academy.

The incumbent of this role will collaborate with key stakeholders in the UK businesses, E&O and enabling functions to identify L&D needs as an enabler for the business to meet its strategic goals and operational performance.

Due to the geographical spread of the company, this position will involve some UK travel.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work in partnership with the HR Business Partners and Advisors and collaborate with the UK businesses, E&O and enabling functions to fully understand their training needs aligned with business performance issues, objectives and drivers and associated people requirements for both current and future business challenges.
  • To identify key the stakeholders and work collaboratively with them to produce Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across all levels within the business
  • Use the outputs of TNAs to engaged with the Academy leadership team to identify development solutions.

Essential Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • Ability to work in a business facing role
  • Resilient with developing stakeholder management skills working with business partners, managers and leaders.
  • Excellent up to date knowledge of the L&D agenda.
  • A willingness to integrate with and understand the business areas assigned to the role.
  • An articulate communicator with strong listening and analytical skills.
  • Takes personal responsibility to deliver on agreed outcomes.
