I recruit for a FTSE 250 Engineering Support Services Organisation who is one of the UK's largest specialist nuclear services organisations. They are a Tier 1 supplier for the Hinkley Point C construction project which is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low-carbon electricity for around six million homes.

They are currently recruiting a Training Manager to collaborate with the other suppliers to provide a training framework and apprenticeship programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of training and competency frameworks for all roles within the project.
  • Develop procedures for performance management, training and development, competences and qualifications
  • Configure the learning management system to support end to end competence and training management for the project
  • Ensure individual training plans and records are kept up to date
  • Identify training needs and requirements for the project
  • Manage the training plan and reporting process, evaluating training provision and working positively with training providers
  • Apprenticeships and apprentice levy
  • Develop STEM / Work Experience programmes and attend events to support initiatives
  • Manage training budgets



Role Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree educated or relevant experience in learning and development
  • Experience of managing apprentice programmes and apprentice levy
  • Experience of apprentice levy and other funding routes
  • Learning Management System management
  • Background in a trade/ technical discipline would be advantageous
  • Performance Management and Competency processes
  • Project management skills
  • Strong presentation skills at all levels
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
