Training Delivery Manager - FTSE 250 Engineering Organisation, £50,000

I am recruiting a Training Delivery Manager on behalf of a FTSE 250 organisation. As a company they work across a diverse range of sectors and are involved in some of the world's most advanced engineering projects. This particular role functions within the automotive industry working with a prestigious car manufacturer.

The Training Delivery Manager will manage the day to day activities of the Volkswagen Group Apprenticeship Programme.


  • Manage the Apprenticeship Training delivery teams across the VWG Apprenticeship
  • Central contact for client regarding Training delivery
  • Manages the "day to day" activities of the training, associate and administration teams
  • Maintains team accountability for:
  • Resourcing - to include trainer availability, event booking, hotel accommodation and budgetary constraints
  • TMD delivery target and reports exceptions and deviations
  • delivery quality, including apprentice evaluation and trainer observations
  • Collects Management Information (MI) and provides accurate and relevant reporting
  • Develops systems and processes and ensures self and team work in coherently
  • Conducts team one to one meetings and appraisals Key Outputs/Deliverables:
  • Ensure budgetary requirements are adhered to by:
  • Utilising resources effectively
  • Maximising course utilisation
  • Minimising waste


  • An automotive industry professional, specifically with a background in vehicle sales/training and manufacturer lean process
  • A time served manager who is focused on solutions and developing others
  • Specialist in instructional design and development
  • Experience in measuring the effectiveness of training and post course evaluation methods
  • Is familiar with scheduling principles that maximise utilisation
  • Possesses above average IT skills and is used to working in an LMS environment
