My client, a well known media company based inWest London, is currently seeking a Trading Manager to join them to fulfil a 3 month contract.
You should ideally be immediately available or on a maximum of 2 week's notice.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Trading Controller, this person will be a key member of the team responsibile for the co-ordination of our clients trading plans, including a key focus on forecasting & communicating user & sales performance insights to all relevant teams and stakeholders.

* Manage the forecasting and sales performance; balancing plans, targets, budgets and performance across all online and offline media channels to achieve the most efficient sales plan and accurate forecasting & stock management
* Build and evolve a robust & automated forecasting process. Developing a sophisticated model which learns and improves as they increase scale & size
* Utilise industry data & insights combined with internal data to forecast future sales
* Input into the content merchandising process with data driven insight
* Input into pricing strategy across content as business models evolve
* Own and improve the quarterly sales planning process, working closely with internal teams to pull together the overall sales plans for new & repeat transactors & transactions
* Use insight from previous quarters to inform future strategy and most efficient use of budgets
* Identify sales strategies and offer plans which deliver the best cost per acquisition and continuously improve this metric quarter on quarter
* Support finance in the budget management and forecasting cycle
* Deliver accurate information to provide detailed analysis of trends and variance
* Continuously review performance, anticipate issues and plan mitigation activity where required
* Actively manage and optimise budgets in-quarter and re-allocate budgets to best performing activity where required
* Provide a quarterly summary of performance across all key metrics and campaigns, to inform future planning

Candidate Specification:

* Undergraduate degree or equivalent
* Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and sales pipelines
* Experience of using insight to generate action / innovation
* An understanding of digital marketing principles and web analytics
* An understanding of multichannel attribution
* Experience of a Transactional business
* Problem solving and results driven mentality, able to continually critique and optimise performance Ability to build trusted relationships to ensure Trading insight leads to actionable decisions

Technical Skills:

* Statistical modelling and understanding of commercial finance
* Expert modelling skills and forecast tool development
