Trading Floor Support

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:


* Create, modify, and maintain user logins and account configurations within trading systems.
* Provide 1st level support to all trading application users; respond to support requests via phone, email and IMs
* Work with vendors (Exchanges, ECNs, etc.) to resolve production issues
* Work with developers to improve software and troubleshoot problems
* Maintain documentation of support processes, ongoing technical issues, and workarounds
* Assist with resolving clearing issues
* Support traders for their day to day support
* Involve in Incident management calls to co-ordinate with related teams and work towards the resolution
* Day to Day activities like User Access / Folder Permissions / Ad-hoc job running / Analysis of issues

Qualifications/Experience


* Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Required
* Minimum 5 years of Operations experience in either Middle Office or Trade Support roles
* Good working product knowledge of fixed income and equity products
* Must have an understanding of trading industry concepts and terminology
* Able to work in a fast paced trading floor environment
* Must have proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Must have excellent customer support and communication skills
* Troubleshooting experience in financial trading applications
* Technical knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems
* Administration and troubleshooting skills of Windows and UNIX Operating System
* Demonstrated ability in scripting as well as Unix command tools, Ability to develop UNIX Shell Script.
* Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities
