Experis have an exciting new opportunity for a large, well known client within the telecoms industry for a Tools, Systems and Information Specialist within the RCA space.

Title: Tools, Systems and Information Specialist (RCA/Risk)

Rate: £490 (Via Umbrella/Inside IR35)

Location: Remote

Length: 12 months

Scope:

Specifically, Risk, compliance and assurance (RCA) helps our client to succeed by providing an independent view to senior management and the Board that the controls the business relies on are working and effective. The improvements we identify help to ensure company objectives are met and delivers on its promise and lives its values, thereby enabling our client to better serve its customers and grow its business.

The key role of RCA operations is to ensure that all business functions are in line with our strategic role to create the highest level of efficiency possible whilst delivering a seamless service to the wider RCA team. This requires operations to utilise resources from staff, technology and processes to continuously improve and drive efficiency. The role of the Processes and Tools Specialist is to manage the delivery of the RCA process, tools and data analytics that support the operations of RCA and the wider three lines of defence community. Technical knowledge and experience of building, configuring and maintaining complex systems and tools are key to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems

  • Manage and deliver the transfer from as-is to the new GRC system.
  • Configure new GRC systems and tools to meet all three lines of defence.
  • To manage the maintenance of legacy and future systems to ensure continuity of service (for example: patching, licences and software updating)
  • Gather data and system requirements for Risk, Compliance and Assurance

Data

  • Design and build data insight for RCA (i.e. manage the extraction and creation of reports to inform decision making in all the RCA areas)
  • Design and build end to end data transformation processes.

Suppliers

  • Interface with suppliers (providers of system/tools) for system maintenance, security improvement and problem resolution

Process & user support

  • Redesign RCA processes to achieve efficiencies (introduce automation where required)
  • Design and implement user manuals and training (system, tools, new processes)
  • Devise and provide user and process support facilities and methods (e.g. internal audit annual plan process support)

Required Experience:

  • Experience with risk management, assurance and the three lines of defence model
  • Experience with managing systems and tools in a specialised environment and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experienced in independently identifying, owning and developing solutions to the business / team's needs, leveraging internal or external resources.
  • Excellent collaborator: has a track record of working brilliantly as part of a team
  • Experienced in facilitating / delivering learning programmes across senior teams / business unit
  • Experience delivering against individual targets and monitoring of team SLAs and KPIs, helping drive performance improvement.
  • Experience of using data analytic tools and designing reports.

Core Skills for this contract:

  • High level of technical ability across Microsoft servers, security and environment management.
  • Strong application configuration, data management and technical support skills with focus on delivering a brilliant customer experience.
  • Ability to engaging with users to interpreted requirements and deliver solution specifications.
  • Strong data analytics and data visualisation skills and experience with delivering complex reporting to customer requirements.
  • Extensive experience of using business intelligence tools (e.g Qlik)
  • Extensive experience with building ETL (extract, transform, load) processes using platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tool or Alteryx.
  • Ability to interpret data into meaningful visualised insight, to inform decision making.
  • Technical understanding of data (relational databases) and ability to question and challenge data sources and identify errors or problems.
  • SharePoint (2013 and online) development skills and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally across large organisations with others involved in RCA.
  • Ability to communicate effectively externally to bring in outside thinking on RCA processes.
  • Ability to help support and empower the team to constantly improve, advising where skills gaps might exist
  • Ability to act as coach and mentor for other team members
  • Strong planning and organising skills
