My Client is looking for a Test Lead with the following skills and experience-
Test Planning
  • Define Project test approaches and plans, covering all required test phases (Functional and Non-Functional) in line with the Company Test Strategy.
  • Lead the System Test, Systems Integration Test and Regression test phases for internal projects.

Test & Defect Management
  • Agree and implement defect management approaches and processes for IT projects, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of, understand and follow them.
  • Support teams in understanding the nature of a defect, taking time to walk through the steps taken to create the defect if required.
  • Develop and maintain regular Test reports, such as a Defect Dashboard, to an agreed schedule for the various Project Boards.
  • Plan and coordinate test execution activities in line with known constraints and resource availability.
  • Liaise regularly with the BAU Test Lead to ensure all project and bau test tasks are well known and scheduled to avoid resource conflicts

Service Transition
  • Ownership, maintenance & demonstrable ongoing improvement of a Service Transition Management Framework within ISS
  • Ensure all new or amended Services are transitioned into the live service portfolio with minimum negative impact to service operations.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure that Service transition requirements are incorporated into all projects
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing robust processes and procedures, to support the overall development of service transition
  • Identify improvements to service transition processes; implement and embed them within ISS
  • Drive a standard approach for new/amended application or infrastructure to move from project phase to acceptance by the Service and Support Teams.
  • Represent the Service Delivery team and own the delivery of Service Transition for individual projects.
  • Ensure all new or amended Services are delivered into the live service portfolio with minimum impact to service operations
  • Identify and manage service transition risks and issues

Stakeholder Relationships
  • Maintain a good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders groups, such as Clients teams and colleagues
  • Sustain regular communication channels with stakeholders to ensure test or transition activities are managed in accordance with approved processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve service and work with stakeholders to develop plans
  • Initiate any actions, remedial or otherwise, necessary to improve or maintain service

Team Management:
  • Participate fully as a member of the Service & Supplier Management team
  • There are no formal line management duties but the role will operate within virtual teams throughout ISS to ensure transition activities are taken forward. Please note that there may be formal line management duties in the future.

  • Experience of the following application areas (at least two);
    • Oracle eBusiness Suite Release 12
    • Procurement (P2P, I-proc),
    • Receivables (AR),
    • Payables (AP),
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Inventory,
    • Project Accounting (PA).
    • Siebel CRM
  • Formal test approaches,
  • Manual test execution,
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of using SQL
  • User Acceptance Test execution
  • Test management tools (e.g. HP Quality Centre)
  • Understanding of Research Grant application processes
  • Oracle Fusion Middleware, SOA Suite
  • Oracle Universal Content Management
  • Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition
  • Experience in creating automated tests for Web services (SOAP/REST)
  • At least 2 years' experience in a Service Transition role
  • Experience of working with a large user base
  • Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM environment
