My client is looking for a Test and Transition Lead

the role in brief is as follows-

  • Define Project test approaches and plans, covering all required test phases (Functional and Non-Functional) in line with the Company Test Strategy.
  • Lead the System Test, Systems Integration Test and Regression test phases for internal projects.



Test & Defect Management

  • Agree and implement defect management approaches and processes for IT projects, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of, understand and follow them.
  • Support teams in understanding the nature of a defect, taking time to walk through the steps taken to create the defect if required.
  • Develop and maintain regular Test reports, such as a Defect Dashboard, to an agreed schedule for the various Project Boards.
  • Plan and coordinate test execution activities in line with known constraints and resource availability.
  • Liaise regularly with the BAU Test Lead to ensure all project and bau test tasks are well known and scheduled to avoid resource conflicts



Service Transition

  • Ownership, maintenance & demonstrable ongoing improvement of a Service Transition Management Framework within ISS
  • Ensure all new or amended Services are transitioned into the live service portfolio with minimum negative impact to service operations.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure that Service transition requirements are incorporated into all projects
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing robust processes and procedures, to support the overall development of service transition
  • Identify improvements to service transition processes; implement and embed them within ISS
  • Drive a standard approach for new/amended application or infrastructure to move from project phase to acceptance by the Service and Support Teams.
  • Represent the Service Delivery team and own the delivery of Service Transition for individual projects.
  • Ensure all new or amended Services are delivered into the live service portfolio with minimum impact to service operations
  • Identify and manage service transition risks and issues
