Test Analyst (Defect Management) - Joining an ever expanding international organisation you will be responsible for Defect management throughout the full testing life-cycle for multiple SAP projects and programmes


  • Lead the Defect management activities during the delivery of a SAP roll-out and other projects across the business
  • Engage with applications teams and suppliers to ensure system and functional change defects are managed correctly and fixes are delivered into live through well-defined tests that trace back to requirements
  • Produce defect status reports (BAU, multi-project and multi-release) for all test phases (SIT, UAT, NFT, OAT, and DR)
  • Hold daily defect triage meetings, ensuring all the relevant stakeholders participation
  • Collect all testing outputs and ensure an up to date defect log is maintained throughout all testing activities
  • Participate in and give input to daily stand-ups, meetings, workshops, quality gates (Entry and Exit criteria conformance; support Go / no-go decisions), documents (Defect management process / approach) and ensure all reports (Daily / weekly progress reports) are produced in a regular and timely manner.

Key Skills

  • Extensive experience of managing the defect lifecycle where changes for enterprise applications and operational availability is critical
  • Working in a challenging and complex organisation and demonstrable experience of managing organisational, business and technical change
  • Operational Defect Management experience across multiple SAP and Non-SAP projects
  • Knowledge of the SAP processes (SuccessFactors, finance, procurement and supply chain, SRM, HR and Projects)
  • Experience throughout the full SAP lifecycle (system testing, integration testing, defect management, regression testing and UAT)
  • Clear leadership skills and experience managing internal and 3rd party groups
  • Strong experience of delivering a defect management service for enterprise class systems such as: SAP technologies, SharePoint, SQL, Oracle, BI systems and Web applications
  • Experience using HP ALM or Team Foundation Server (desirable) or equivalent ALM toolset
