Our client based in Tamworth are looking for a Hardware Specialist to provide technical support to the Forensics ADA (Advanced Data Acquisitions) Team. This team responds to the growing requirement for finding solutions to security enabled devices exhibiting encryption.

Support is required for Hardware: Research/development into fault finding/repair of mobile devices, use of equipment to recover data from digital devices

The Role:

  • Coordinate and conduct reactive and proactive investigations, gather evidence and intelligence in accordance with risk management and client policy.
  • Maintain protection of shared equities and advise upon the use and disclosure of sensitive tactics whilst enabling operational activity.
  • Ensure the creation, maintenance and updating of forensic records, including operational or project spreadsheets, case files and other reports.
  • Provide information and advice on new technologies and techniques, including the exploitation of data, systems and technology, to ensure the client utilises the latest cutting-edge technical capabilities.
  • Proactively research and develop innovative and emerging technologies to support investigations both in real time and time-critical situations.

Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in a hardware-related subject/technical qualification (E.g. Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of electronic engineering principles and PCB level repair including hardware diagnostics and reverse engineering
  • Understanding of mathematics and/or forensic principals
  • Knowledge of electronic circuit diagrams and schematics
  • Experience in a technical role involving the development of future technologies
  • Experience working within Electronic or Telecommunications systems
  • Machine and power tool handling
  • Electronic diagnostic equipment
