My client based in Edinburgh has a requirement for a Technical Delivery Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an internationally recognised client on an going contractual basis.

Key Skills & Background

Requirements of the role

  • Work closely with the Programme business work stream leads to understand delivery commitments.
  • Own the budget and time-line for the work package delivery.
  • Facilitate the production of plans and then control the delivery schedule.
  • Monitor and report work package progress to the Programme.
  • Liaise and manage external suppliers as relevant.
  • Create, establish and manage key relationships inside and outside the Programme to ensure holistic solutions are delivered to the production platform.
  • Successful delivery of the technology components identified to complete an on-going project.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Experienced leader who can operate comfortably at all levels of the organisation
  • Oversight of major programmes of work with a track record of achieving the programme goals, ideally within an Investment Management company environment
  • Experience of leading IT projects, as well as non IT projects.

Core Skills

  • Ability to influence clear outcomes from people who are in virtual teams.
  • The articulation of goals, benefits and programme specifications.
  • Planning, monitoring, managing project teams during task execution, and closing projects effectively.
  • Soft skills that help you build and perhaps lead effective teams (especially virtual teams)
  • Communication skills to help others at all levels to understand the programme.
  • Appraising projects / programmes financially.
  • The management of risk.
  • Quality control skills to ensure the overall programme and its associated paperwork would stand up to an audit.
  • This is a senior role which demands applicants can demonstrate actual experience of large scale organisational transition and change. A career history of such experience is highly desirable/essential along with the relevant educational and technical training.
