Role: Technical Business ArchitectDuration: 18 Months.Location: London, South Colonnade. Role purposeRevelation is a programme of work within client that is transforming the way in which the company operates its content (market data) business. The programme is concerned with the management of the terms and conditions in relationships with other parties (the company's suppliers and clients) and on managing the lifecycle of client products.The Rights Management team in client leads the Revelation programme. Core to the programme's success to date is an information architecture that provides a blueprint for information management, process change and system development.As a result of expansion of the Revelation programme, client is now seeking a system and information architect to work alongside the current lead architect and help produce key deliverables in support of programme milestones.Main responsibilitiesThe role's main responsibilities and deliverables include the following:Information, process and system design, including the high level design of information repositories, business processes, system APIs and user interfacesDevelopment and delivery of high-level presentations and documents that effectively communicate problems, objectives and solutions at both business and technical levelsDelivery of low-level system requirements specifications into the software development process (logical information models, system use cases, system interface specifications)Provide support to the engineering team during the software development processRequired skills and experienceThe ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in information, enterprise, system and network architecture and have a background in detailed technical design. Technical experience and knowledge will include:At least 10 years as leader of a technical architecture function and/or software engineering functionExperience of Agile delivery methodologies and the software development lifecycleExperience specifying cloud based solutions (preferably AWS)Familiarity with business process frameworks and their applicationExtensive experience specifying and developing business /operations support system capabilities in on-line service provider industries, such as banking or telecommunications Personal characteristicsProven track record leading teams in complex environmentsHighly collaborative - experience of working across horizontal teamsExcellent communication skillsStrong individual presenceAbility to engage senior business and technical stakeholdersSelf-starterHands-onFamiliarity with financial market and reference data (preferred)University level education (preferred) JustificationThis role is required to support the extension of the Revelation Business Information Model and other information architecture artifacts (e.g. ODRL specifications) to support client proprietary content and products; the role will also help secure the timelines associated with the core third-party content parts of the Revelation programme. This role has been justified as part of the expanded Revelation business case (BC 262) which was approved and funded in February 2019.
