Technical Account Manager / Pre-Sales / Technical Consultant
A world leading provider of intelligent business information that provides software and solutions into the finance, tax and accounting, legal, media and science sectors, is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager to join the Pre-Sales team of a new global product. Based in Central London, you will be responsible for driving forward the technical sales for a pipeline of prospective key customers across Europe and Asia.
Acting as the first point of contact for all potential customers' queries, you will work to develop a good knowledge of their goals, technical challenges and infrastructure configurations in order to identify opportunities and delivery outstanding customer service. You will establish yourself as an advisor to both customers and colleagues, and participate in the development of the technical account strategy alongside the Account Managers.
The successful candidate should have a Pre-Sales or Account Management background and a proven ability to manage and develop relationships at a senior level. You will be able to grasp technical concepts quickly and apply them in a variety of contexts, and should ideally have some knowledge of common programming languages (such as Java, C or XML). An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering will be highly desirable.
The position will involve regular travel around London to client sites, as well as international travel on roughly a monthly basis.
The position will pay between £60,000 and £70,000 plus bonus, benefits and car allowance
