Due to significant investment and expansion a Leading Science & Engineering company are seeking out individuals with experience in Synthetic Environments and Simulation to work on large scale defence projects in the UK. They currently have a number of roles available and are seeking professionals with varied levels of knowledge and experience.

They are looking for Experience in some or all of the below

  • Modelling and simulation for training, problem analysis or research. Development of tools and models to improve efficiency or answer complex problems.
  • Specifying or developing simulation systems using a blend of off-the-shelf technologies (such as serious games) and bespoke software.
  • Integrating, testing or providing through-life support to delivered solutions, including hardware and software components that are deployed as part of wider distributed simulation systems.
  • Understanding of concepts and principles underpinning Live, Virtual and Constructive training systems.
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplined teams, dealing with multiple stakeholders and clients, particularly in a military context.

They are looking for knowledge in some of the following

  • Distributed simulation utilising standards such as DIS, HLA and DDS or more broadly the DTEC Modelling and Simulation Standards Profile (DMSP).
  • Synthetic environments and associated technologies including Image Generation and visualisation of tactical or geospatial information.
  • Tactical environment simulation, including knowledge and understanding of Computer Generated Forces (CGF), role-players and component models.
  • Experience with games engines such as VBS2/3 or Unity may also be an advantage.
  • Broad understanding of computer architectures and network design, including virtualisation, IP communication and routing protocols.
