Overall Department Direction The Naval Nuclear Supply Chain work closely with internal supply chain and other teams, as well as the customers' supply chain teams, to develop appropriate supply chain strategies to deliver submarine programmes now and in the future.The successful candidate will ensure appropriate operational Reports, KPIs and projects are in place for supply chain delivery into the future submarine programmes, across materials and services. The primary place of work is Devonport, however travel to alternative sites and key suppliers will be required at times Main Purpose of Role Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain (Planning and Performance) you will have overall accountability for developing, and supporting the supply chain operational key reports, KPI delivery, and driving the supporting continuous improvement program. Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences The post would suit a candidate who is seeking a career complex Supply Chain environment with: Knowledge/Experience: - Understanding of "Best Practice" tools and techniques - Experience of working in complex project environments - Proven track record of delivering improved performance methodologies - High quality communication ability, both written and orally - Customer (Internal and External) facing role exposure within highly pressurised environments Skills: - Experience in delivering transformation programs desirable - Excellent use and experience with Microsoft Office suite Qualifications Academic: - Qualified to degree level or equivalent - MCIPS or equivalent professional accreditation desirable - Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher desirableNote: If the candidate does not have MCIPS or Greenbelt certification then the candidate may be successful if willing to undergo formal training to attain. Experience: - Min 1 year in a Supply Chain role within a major organisation Grade This position is within the Devonport Central Services business unit as a grade 3 which has a salary of £30,555 with DRDL Terms and Conditions.
