We are actively looking to secure a Strategic Portfolio Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

Role Description

We are seeking a Strategic Portfolio Manager to join our client, who is a leading energy supplier.

This is a senior position which forms part of the client's extended senior management team, to help devise and deliver the overall strategy and service offering in the short and long term.

Confidence and resilience will be key in order to influence senior stakeholders in the wider business and also work closely with external partners.

Essential Skills:

  • Prior success in leading large scale, complex Change and Project Delivery involving the management of 3rd Party Supplier / Outsource Providers using Global Sourcing Models.
  • Detailed understanding of Change Delivery Methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, Prince2
  • An expert in technology and able to deliver within agile methodologies i.e. SCRUM, Kanban and Lean.
  • Strong understanding of modern development product centric approaches to delivery organisation.
  • Demonstrable understanding of and experience in outsourced service delivery environments.
  • Proven track record in the delivery of multi-million-pound complex change programmes.
  • Experience of delivering complex technical projects with associated technical knowledge.
  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team - matrix management including 'offshore' resource.
  • Strong leadership skills including people management, coaching, mentoring and direction setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, managing stakeholders at an executive level.
  • Financial and budget management.
  • Proven ability to manage 3rd parties in line with commercial contracts.
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent experience.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Outsourcing / Global Delivery methodologies
  • A good understanding of Business Strategy Development
  • Agile knowledge: Scrum, Kanban
  • PRINCE 2 or AMP certification
  • ITIL certification
