This role holds accountability for Storage Infrastructure service projects and production support to the BPS payment gateway services Smartpay -S and Smartpay -B. Ownership and leadership of technical resolution for high severity production incidents and ProblemsAdherence to Barclays standards for change control, Storage security and Storage patterns.Take part in the technical team during disaster recovery and business continuity exercisesDefine operational procedures and documentationProvide on-call rota support where requiredLead and define delivery requirements for Service Improvement Unit initiativesDesign and lead internal projects and deliveries aligned with the Storage roadmapSupport the architect and product teams in developing the Storage roadmap.Identify new technologies and services to transform the Storage service offeringMentor the global technical team to build a high-performing technical delivery environment Person SpecificationExpert knowledge of administration of NetApp FAS and E-Series productsKnowledge of the ITIL framework, vocabulary and best practicesExpert in working with Vendor technical support staff, including vendor development teamsExpertise in defining technical plans and proceduresExpert in Configuration Management with a strong background in Scripting.Expert skills and a desire to automate functionsExperience Data ONTAP Cluster-mode storage systems and related storage fabricsExperience of working in a highly regulated environment and the associated processes and toolsHave a strong working knowledge of Barclays infrastructure components and the processes required to maintain the infrastructureHave a good understanding of the business areas and application / service components used and an appreciation of applications from both a technical and business perspective. Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:NCDA NetApp Certified Data Administrator, Clustered ONTAPNCSE NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineer, Clustered ONTAPKnowledge of NetApp cluster supported hardware platformsProven skills in performing in-depth support, administrative functions, and performance management, general troubleshooting and root cause isolation, node configuration, and software and firmware upgrades. Ability to document and keep records. Knowledge of CIFS, NFS and iSCSI protocols in particular.
