My leading client is looking for a SQL Developer / MI Analyst to assist them on a journey to make better use of the capabilities of the new case management tools, support the data analysis and transition remaining legacy systems into appropriate solutions.
The MI/SQL Specialist role exists to maintain and develop our BI solution and automated tools, working with other technical and data specialists to improve their reporting capability, to enable effective distribution of relevant management information appropriately within the organisation, and to ensure that changes and developments to reporting solutions are controlled and changes to the business process clearly documented
Key skills
- Advanced SQL programming and DBA skills.
- Skills in data mapping and modelling.
- Experience using Visio (or other similar software) to produce and maintain technical diagram
- Advanced Excel skills including macros and complex Pivot Tables
- Experience of developing reports in Visual Studio, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS or equivalent data warehouse reporting tools.
- Experience developing ad hoc reporting tools by using extracted data from core business systems.
- Experience of development, preparation and communication of reports and management information.
- Experience of using reporting systems (ideally SQL Server Reporting Services or PowerBI)
- Management of Azure PaaS and IaaS instances.
- Knowledge of Kimball DWH techniques.
