Spares Business Manager

£60-65k base plus Car / Car Allowance and package

Leicester with UK Wide Travel

Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading Engineering Support Services organisation for an experienced Business Leader to take charge of their Nuclear Spares business to grow profitability and service excellence.

The main responsibilities are as follows -

  • Provide strategic leadership, management and governance to ensure delivery of a business account in compliance with agreed management systems to achieve company, revenue growth, profit and QEH&S targets
  • Able to identify, define and manage benefits realisation at an organisational level
  • Strategic customer and stakeholder management externally and internally within the business with a view to business growth and enhancing the organisations delivery reputation
  • To actively plan and develop the business account through organic growth and targeted new opportunities in accordance with strategic objectives
  • In compliance with the Company's "Win Business" process identify new business opportunities and manage early customer engagement, pre-qualification and subsequent proposal work
  • Produce staff / contractor resource forecasts to service workload requirement of current and future work to be shared with wider business in a timely manner for company recruitment process to operate effectively
  • Management of profitability and operation of the account for designated business area ensuring high utilisation factors for staff and contractors and the minimisation of company overheads
  • Carry out monthly and quarterly business reporting an forecasting
  • Motivate and manage team performance and carry out staff appraisals in line with company policy, process and procedure
  • Deputise for Business Director as required

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent demonstrable work experience
  • Evidence of strong business acumen (P&L, Growth Strategy, Business Cases)
  • Significant experience including leadership roles within project management, manufacturing, engineering or operations
  • Strong stakeholder management at senior level
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Sound commercial awareness and knowledge of contracting models
  • Supply Chain Management exposure
  • Flexible for UK wide travel as required by demands of the role
  • Must be able to satisfy UK SC Clearance requirements
  • Beneficial, but not essential to have -
    • Nuclear Industry Experience
    • Advanced Business Qualification
    • Recognised Senior Leadership Training
