Sourcing Manager - Growth & Innovation



The Sourcing Manager will lead and support sourcing activities for the Growth and Innovation Sourcing team. You will help bring outside skills, data and innovation into the company to help us grow and compete, and develop and implement robust commercial knowledge and practices across the team and the organisation

You will be working in a global team of sourcing professionals, with presence in London, New York/Stamford, Paris, Geneva and Madrid.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategic sourcing (50%)

  • Support business outcomes by leading or advising on the strategic sourcing process - developing solutions, scoping and defining requirements, identifying best in class suppliers, managing the selection process (including RFx and e-sourcing), negotiating with suppliers, contracting the deal and overseeing the life-cycle of the relationship
  • Proactively monitor supplier competencies and competitive positioning to inform sourcing decisions

Commercial analysis (20%)

  • Analyse data and develop insights across spend categories, suppliers and industries to inform the team's commercial strategies
  • Design and implement commercial frameworks that promote data-driven decisions
  • Support negotiation strategies for the team's spend categories and strategic initiatives

Category management (10%)

  • Support category leads in advancing their strategies through knowledge and experience of stakeholders, projects and suppliers

Administration and development (20%)

  • Understand the business, its objectives and needs, and its culture and ways of working (how to get things done)
  • Stay aligned with our priorities and strategy and organise your time effectively
  • Continue learning and improving those around you

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

  • Robust commercial capability - able to organise and process commercial information to make apples to oranges comparisons and identify opportunities
  • Ability to influence - data-driven, articulates the vision, builds trust in relationships, strong negotiator
  • Strategic and analytical thinker - connects the detail with the "big picture", understands dependencies, anticipates the future
  • Open and collaborative - keen learner, team first attitude, able to adapt to new situations
  • Attention to detail
  • Bachelor's Degree and ability to think critically
