The ideal candidate will have come from a healthcare data background and will have proven success with customers working on Business Intelligence focused projects and will possess a deep technical understanding of Splunk. In particular, we are seeking a true hybrid professional with a strong technical background and customer acumen.

They will be part of a team, which must solve some of the organization's most challenging problems, including a number of existing use-cases along with ones, which have not yet been defined.

The Splunk architect will act as onsite Splunk SME providing best practice guidance to ensure that the customer achieves maximum value from their investment in Splunk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, deliver, configure and maintain Splunk apps and dashboards
  • Perform data integration/ingestion between Splunk and various internal systems/applications
  • Monitor data flows to and from Splunk's internal systems to ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate
  • Understand various types of data, with emphasis on gaining business insights from data feeds into various applications
  • Drive complex requirements of Splunk while working side by side with the internal team to solve their unique problems across a variety of use cases
  • Leverage previous experiences, share best practices and create innovative solutions to push user adoption and maximise the value of Splunk
  • Support and guide internal resources that include Splunk Administrators, Knowledge Managers, Developers, application owners and End Users for increasing Splunk adoption and overall success.
  • Splunk platform management including system upgrade planning and execution
    Hold internal workshops to help customers leverage the full value of Splunk solutions and lead periodic stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide insights concerning the availability and applicability of new products and features
  • Act as the Splunk liaison for Splunk technical questions, issues or escalations. This will include working with Splunk Support and internal resources as needed.
  • Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of the Splunk platform and future products.
  • Develop Splunk documentation detailing, dashboard configuration, Splunk environment configuration, application integration, ingestion methods,


  • 3-5 years of current experience as a Splunk technical consulting role primarily focused in Business Intelligence/analytics
  • Expert knowledge of Splunk SPL with the ability to compile complex queries
  • Experience in data normalization methods
  • Experience in managing and maintaining a Splunk clustered deployments
  • Working knowledge or recent experience with scripting languages (bash), application development (java, python, .NET), databases and analytical tools

Desired but not essential skills:

5 years' experience with and, understanding of, large secondary and tertiary healthcare environments.
