Job Description

The solution architecture team works across the different business operations and are responsible for the overall design of secure and cost-effective solutions that are compliant with user requirements (functional and non-functional), aligned to business and technical strategies and compliant with internal and external regulations. At times this will require the integrations of services and capabilities provided by third parties. Throughout the delivery lifecycle the solution architect is the technical design authority for the project / programme.

The infrastructure architecture team provides corporate governance of shared Client infrastructure across the multiple and separate business operations. Infrastructure architects are responsible for working with architecture design (solution architects) and delivery teams across multiple projects, ensuring that as far as possible solutions are implemented onto standard platforms in a consistent manner, and to timescales agreed with the programme. The team contains a mix of capabilities from Solution Architects with a good technical bias (technical managers), Infrastructure Architects some who are SME's in certain technical domains.

This role is a bit of a hybrid of solution and infrastructure architecture working in the Wholesale directorate, energy generation and trading.
