The Solution Architect will have systems architecture responsibility for a number of development projects, ensuring solution designs are delivered to a high standard and align with the Technology strategy. Key Responsibilities: You will be accountable for the definition of solution designs which balance the needs of the business with the evolution of the technical landscape by:Creating and delivering innovative end-to-end solution designs that meet the requirements of the sponsor while maintaining the overall integrity of the Technology systems estate.Assisting delivery teams in aligning to the overall solution architecture and adjusting the architecture as needed in the face of changes to requirements through to product launch.Working with delivery teams in developing solutions that are secure, highly responsive, scalable, highly available, and resilient in the face of failure of dependent components and systems.Ensuring solution designs align with prevailing Technology strategy, and the relevant technology and corporate policies (such as security, data management and retention, PCI, etc.).Ensuring Architecture Repository and associated artefacts are accurate.The main focus of your work will be in support of UK Customer Management, which is a core part of the UK Technology organisation. The Customer Management area has responsibility for Sales and Support to Customers, using a wide variety of application components - the responsibility of this role is to design how these components operate together, and how they integrate with the other Technology capabilities outside the Customer Management platform. Technical Leadership:Providing expertise on open source tools and systems.Identifying the key technologies, components and practices that deliver value to the client.Delivering strategic technologies and best practices to help spread acceptance within the delivery teams.Supporting the definition of guidelines for architecture and solutions design within the department and helping projects to deliver within those guidelines.Participating as subject matter expert on internal working groups and forums as requested; and also representing the client in technology, standards and professional forums as appropriate.Maintaining your own personal skills and knowledge in the field of software architecture and design.Please submit CVs today!
