£40,000 - £50,000 + benefits

Software Engineer (C#/ASP.NET/WPF) needed for a successful start-up business in Cambridge. My client is a software and engineering business based in Cambridge who have designed an innovative, cost-effective solution to an old problem using modern technology.

The Software Engineer (C#/ASP.NET/WPF) will be joining an existing team of 4 hands on software engineers and reporting directly into the Technical Director of this well-funded start up. You will need to be able to take responsibility for driving projects ranging from bug fixes to new-feature development through to completion.

Previous experience of developing front-end HMI systems, and back-end messaging / server applications is highly desirable.

You will have…

  • Commercial experience as a .NET Software Developer with 3-5 years' experience.
  • Experience using Visual Studio, WPF and XAML would be highly desirable
  • Good SOLID principles are essential
  • Very strong C# knowledge
  • Exposure to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Reactive Extensions (RX)
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in SQL Script, RESTful WebAPIs or WCF, Entity Framework
  • Experience of working with different software development methodologies such as Scrum, Agile, Kanban, Waterfall
