Responsibilities
Be responsible for E2E agile software development project delivery ensuring project objectives and deliverables are aligned with programme benefits, appropriately reviewed, governed and signed-off.
maintain and monitor a project schedule that meets project deadlines, aligning with a 3rd party development supplier & SME guidance
Challenging estimates and evaluating 3rd party supplier capabilities for on time delivery.
Supporting and motivating the 3rd party supplier and project resources
Controlling project time management and budget
Manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships and communications
Analyse and pro-actively manage project risk and issues
Managing project reporting within a matrix organisation and developing/maintain suitable project documentation
Manage the project change control process to ensure that the agreed process is followed and that impact assessments are completed within agreed timelines.
Assure delivery in accordance with ITIL based process and ensure delivery within relevant governance, statutory and policy obligations.
Key Skills / Experience
Programme delivery knowledge of ORACLE, JAVA, REDHAT, Angular, Bootstrap, NEO4J, Elastic & Sharepoint to lead an Agile practitioners.
Understand, articulate and leverage agile project management methods, for 3rd party agile software development.
Excellent 3rd party supplier management skills to set, monitor and confirm 3rd party supplier performance and deliverables.
Excellent entrepreneurial mindset, to allow to think beyond the project deliverables and enhance the resourcefulness of the wider programme and project team members.
Set the tone and direction of the project, motivating, supporting and enhancing agile project team members and 3rd party supplier.
Maintain the project big picture within the programme to keep knowledge and information flowing between the project team, programme and stakeholders.
Qualification
Leading 3rd party agile software development teams and Agile Project Management qualified
Significant and demonstrable experience of managing 3rd party agile software development projects to non-IT business users (agile software development not infrastructure projects).
Formal professional project management qualification(s), MSP and Prince2 (Practitioner)
