The role is support a Customer project for the 9 month duration. The project shall involve purchasing new tooling from vendors which will then be received into our facility and subsequently rented to our customer and shipped over to Africa for their operation.

Key Activities:

  • Management of shipping of the tools from UK to Africa
  • Ensuring all system transactions are completed correctly
  • Ensuring all documentation is correct as required for shipping
  • Working with a range of departments to ensure the on-time delivery of tooling to our Customer

Essential responsibilities:

  • Prepare compliant paperwork for shipment of parts, including Dispatch Requests
  • Assist with the creation of commercial invoices for export shipments
  • Liaise with Project Co-Ordinator and Sourcing on the fulfilment of orders, monitor changes to schedule
  • Provide updates and reports to Project Manager and other departments confirming status and progress of shipments
  • Manage arrival of Parts to designated sites and co-ordinate shipment between locations
  • Liaise with company appointed haulier to manage movement requests
  • Assist with the management of inventory, including raising Work Orders within Oracle system, co-ordinating/booking items into stock
  • Creating pick lists within Oracle to allow tools to ship correctly
  • Engage with Workshop Planner to schedule and prepare tools for workshop
  • (Plus all other activities as deemed appropriate to ensure the safe shipment of tools and requirements of the Rental COE

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Considerable experience in a similar role managing shipment internationally
  • ERP experience, ideally Oracle
  • Can do attitude

  • Formal qualification in logistics
