Role: Service Transition Manager
Duration: 6-8 weeks
Start Date: ASAP

Location: Blackpool with occasional travel required to Manchester & Newcastle

Working Client Side - the Service Transition Manager will be experienced in managing complex deliveries across multiple suppliers; There are a number of large transformation programmes for both Infrastructure and Applications.

The role is a hands on role where previous experience is a must.

  • To provide Knowledge Transfer and SME expertise to support the growth of the team.
  • Using the pre-defined Tool-Kit: The Service Transition Manager will work closely with the E2E Service Manager to ensure all delivery areas meet the service readiness criteria.
  • Assuring that operational service requirements are articulated and delivered.
  • Ensures effective communications across the multidisciplinary work area.
  • Assuring that the Service Introduction Checkpoint process is adhered to and provide support/advice to stakeholder.
  • Providing status reporting on projects from a Service Introduction perspective.Support DevOps way of working.
  • Assuring assessment of the risks to operational support environments has taken place.
  • Assuring operational support teams have been fully engaged and are able to support the required services.
  • Assuring Early Life Support has been planned.

Key Skills required

  • Ideally an SME in Service Transition
  • Strong Stakeholder Managmement Skills
  • Good knowledge of the IT Lifecycle
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment (Devops)
  • Excellent communication skills (written / verbal)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Overall Flexible approach to the work
