Service Desk Coordinator, Portsmouth, FTSE 100 Organisation - £21,000 - £22,000 + benefits

The successful Service Desk Coordinator will have good communication skills and ability to prioritise tasks while coordinating any non-standard IT requests across the business. These requests can range from office moves and network changes to hardware collection and booking couriers. You will be working independently meeting the needs of the business with a good understanding of IT systems and how they work within a large company.

Main purpose of role:

  • Monitoring the Service Request Management (SRM) queue within the call logging system
  • Assess and Coordinate requirements and provide customer with quotation of work
  • Liaising with the customer/Site Coordinator or BRM and agreeing planned dates and activities
  • Feedback to the Service Catalogue Manager to ensure that SRM information within the Service Catalogue is accurate and up to date
  • Develop and maintain a Service Request Management process model ensuring that the Service Request Management process is performed as designed and meets objectives
  • Contribute to providing and Maintaining up to date supporting documentation including user guides, process, workflows and contact details for request and Service Planning activities
  • Prioritisation of work load to meet departmental demands and customer needs
  • Functions as the day to day operations subject matter expert in Service Request Management. Acts as policy guardian for the Service Request Management process

Ideal requirements:

  • Experience of using Service Management systems
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Good understanding of IT and its relationship to a large business
  • Knowledge of IT services delivered to the customer community and relationships to the supporting services
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work under pressure and excellent time management skills
