Service Desk Analyst

We have an urgent opportunity live in Newcastle with our client who requires a contractor to join them to assist in providing 1st line support on a 2 month rolling contract.

Our UK leading client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to take on the role of Service Desk Analyst. Within this role you will be working in a customer service style environment where you will be assisting in providing incident resolution to customers via telephone, email and remote support applications. You will need to have a customer-focused approach, with a good basic understanding of various aspects of IT.

For this role you must have:

  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in IT, Computer Science or similar experience
  • Previous experience in a similar customer or software support position
  • Ability to identify issues, whilst providing exemplary customer service
  • Basic understanding of ISO/BSI and ITIL frameworks

The ideal candidate will also have the following:

  • MCP/CCNA qualification or demonstrate a similar knowledge of Microsoft products/applications

This role will require support provided across a variety of shifts from Monday - Friday (7am - 7pm).

This role may require out of hours/on call working and occasional customer/site visits, where necessary.
