Role: Service Design Architect
Location: Chorley
Duration: 6 Months

Service Design Architect role responsible for the design and development of the service management and delivery solution to support the delivery of new and changed services along with ensuring that the Service Catalogue is maintained where services are amended. Requires a good logical modelling capability to address the predominantly physical focus of an Infrastructure programme and will support other architects in the design, definition and management of interfaces, and take responsibility for the modelling of those interfaces at the appropriate level of abstraction in the support model.

  • Design, produce or support the production of service design documentation, ensuring that the authorised documents provide sufficient detail to enable Service Operations to impact the associated request for change.
  • Liaising with programme management, service line and customer to assure delivery of quality service design products on time and to budget.
  • Collecting and aligning existing process artefacts and contributing to the development of a Service Architecture Framework.
  • As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge.
  • Actively contribute to solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects.
  • Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Contribute to organizations profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development.

  • Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned technology and discipline area. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of corporate organization and policies.
