Role: Senior Tester

Location: Portsmouth

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: Competitive

Active SC Clearance or eligibility is required for this role. If you are SC eligible, you must be willing to undergo relevant security checks.

Role Purpose

In this Role you will provide specialist testing advice and delivery & be accountable for managing testing activities on application or infrastructure projects within a program or service as part of a risk treatment and validation activity. You will also be responsible for supplying stakeholders with the data they require to be able to make informed decisions in respect to solution or component suitability to progress to the next development stage or for release into production. You will contribute to test estimation when required, while deploying your advanced testing skills and knowledge.


* Proven experience owning technical strategy and solutions from design through to successful delivery

* Previous experience working with public sector clients

* Good experience with testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber, etc.)

* Supporting the production of the test strategy and acceptance plan in line with the programme IT&T test approach

* Assisting with running walkthroughs with Authority SMEs to ensure requirements are understood

* Ensuring requirements are covered in test documentation

* Production of Test Plans, Test Specifications and Test Scripts

* Reporting on test progress, defects and issues to the IT&T team, project team and key stakeholders

* Running integration test phase, maintaining a close working relationship with IT&T team for test acceptance and artefact assurance

* Performing test readiness reviews, integration test progress meetings and conducting test completion reviews
