SAN, Virtualisation, VMware, Microsoft Infrastructures, MS Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Server 2012/2016, MS SQL Server, Windows Servers 2008, 2012 & 2016, Linux RedHat, PowerShell, Linux Shell, Scripting, Office 365, MS Azure and Storage initiatives.

Financial sector specialists are seeking a strong technical presence to impact and enhance their current IT Support Team.

Based at the Client's West Bromwich HQ, you will need experience and skills across a number of technologies such as:

Key Technical Skills:

  • Virtualisation, VMware
  • SAN's - Storage Area Networks
  • The Microsoft Suite of Applications
  • Windows Server Operating systems.
  • RedHat Linux Operating Systems expertise
  • Automated Management Tasks using Windows PowerShell or Linux Shell Scripting

This role requires considerable knowledge and a high degree of analytical and constructive thinking to tackle a wide variety of challenging and difficult I.T. related issues.

This role is extremely diverse, challenging and will require a person with energetic and tenacious qualities coupled with the technical skills and cerebral capacity to match.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintenance of a wide range of infrastructure and business software tools including Virtualisation Infrastructure (VMWare), Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Storage Area Network support and maintenance.
  • Assist in the resolution of issues reported to the I.T. Service desk.
  • Assist in Business Continuity testing and in the event of a Disaster itself.
  • Provide out of hours support.
  • Advise on technical issues to immediate and senior management.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers to ensure service availability.
  • Assessing and implementing new technologies and presenting results.
  • Assist in capacity planning tasks.
  • Producing quality documentation.
  • Providing assistance to other areas of the I.T. Service & Solutions department as necessary including areas not detailed above.

Professional Certifications or equivalent in the relevant field of expertise:

  • MCSE, MCSA
  • VMware
  • Storage - NetApp - EMC - HDS
  • ITIL
