I am recruiting a Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to work for a FTSE 100 Engineering Support Services Organisation in Bristol. This role functions within their Marine and Technology Division which provides vital engineering services to key clients, such as the Royal Navy.

As a Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer working within a new project you will be responsible for ensuring that the mobilisation of the project is fully supported and realised through the implementation of a robust quality system.

You will be expected to be able to understand, interpret and ensure the full compliance of commercial contract requirements as stipulated by the customer.

You will also be responsible for leading the project quality team in the quick and proficient resolution of customer complaints plus leasing with and supporting suppliers from containment of quality issues through to preventative actions and carrying out process verification where necessary. This will include identifying trends and driving quality improvements within the supply chain.

Required Experience:

  • Experience of managing teams
  • Engineering/Quality background in either the Aerospace or Defence industries.
  • In depth knowledge of supply chain principles
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and practical problem solving tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of team.
  • Good analytical skills and proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
