Senior Specialist Business Analyst
Location: Cambridge
9 Months duration


  • Business analysis work for a functional business area;
  • Shaping of high-level requirements to inform business decisions;
  • Formulating the Lightweight Business Case for portfolio investment approval;
  • Working closely with the business customers,PMO, solution architect, and development team to develop and manage the backlog of enterprise-level epics and technology enablers, specifically:
    • Translation of themes into Enterprise-level Epics with defined success criteria
    • Alignment of requirements to capabilities
    • Prioritising and sizing the backlog of Enterprise-level Epics across all delivery teams.
  • Collaborating with business customers, PMO, solution architect, and development team to ensure proposed solutions demonstrate compatibility with architectural principles;
  • Identifying, synchronising, and coordinating dependencies between PMO Teams / Business Teams with other Business Analysts;
  • Managing, coaching, encouraging, and mentoring other PMO Business Analysts to develop their skills and help ensure compliance with our standards and best practise.
  • Supporting the PMO Management Team in maintaining the level and suitability of Business Analysis resource to support the portfolio.

What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?

  • Educated to a Degree level
  • BCS Qualified- International Diploma in Business Analysis
  • Extensive work experience in a Business Analyst role with exposure to a broad range of various technical environments and business segments
  • Previous experience working in a SAFe methodology for Agile
  • Experience Leading PI planning sessions
  • Strong experience working with SAS
  • Expert in data modelling
  • Legal contract automation and management experience
  • Experience in business process workflow orchestration and designing
  • Experience establishing credible relationships within IT and Business community; capable of tailoring style and approach when interacting with stakeholders
  • Experience with program and portfolio management
  • Solid planning, financial and performance management skills
  • Solid experience of creating epics, user stories, and business cases
