Senior Software Asset Analyst

Location: Lakeside, Portsmouth

Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

A Senior Software Asset Analyst is required to work for the UK's Leading Engineering Support Services Organisation as part of their internal IS Division based in Lakeside, Portsmouth.

As a Senior Software Asset Analyst you will work as part of the Software Asset Management team providing licensing advice and support to projects and the wider IT community.

Manage the lifecycle of Project Software licence acquisition plans from creation through to sign off, ensuring that all licensable software deployed is identified

Work with and influence all areas of the business on software licensing implications

Conduct regular audits of the installed estate comparing the results with the licence entitlement register and manage reconciliation

Upkeep of software entitlement library and information of software licenses purchased.

Identify opportunities for optimising licence usage

Functions as the day to day operations subject matter expert in SAM, Microsoft licence model/usage rights

Essential Skills

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working in Software Asset Management (SAM) particularly within a Microsoft estate.

Experience of the software licence life-cycle from purchasing through deployment to decommissioning

ISEB in Software Asset Management is beneficial

Expert in Microsoft licence/model usage plus familiarity with the licensing concepts of other major publishers

You will be required to hold SC Clearance or be able to obtain SC on acceptance of the position.
