Social Media Consultant

The Social Media Consultant has the unique opportunity to shape, influence, and create digital experiences that build our clients digital brand and accelerate their business. The successful candidate is responsible for driving the social media & advocacy strategy and acting as in-region program lead, bringing the clients brand promise to life in engaging and innovative ways.

Responsibilities include

  • Lead the social media & advocacy strategy for the EMEAR region and local adoption across EMEAR markets
  • Own EMEAR social media roadmap, goals and metrics for
  • Partner with Content, Event and Paid Media teams to develop social plans, advise on best storytelling and engagement strategies for social channels, social concepts/tactics in support of campaigns and launches (blogs, communities, advocacy, influencer, paid media), as well as leading the strategy for on-going community management.
  • Drive new ideas for leveraging social media channels as a key element for lead generation efforts.
  • Continuously develop and lead adoption of social media best practices including training and adoption of social tools across the region (Publishing, Social Insights and Reporting)
  • Partner closely with the digital team to drive social strategy alignment across the regions including tools and infrastructure requirements, social governance as well as adoption of global programs into EMEAR countries and vice versa.
  • Partner closely with Global team to drive reporting alignment, measurability of social KPIs and impact across the EMEAR region.
  • Ideate, evolve and manage internal and external brand advocacy, influencer and real-time customer engagement programs to continue to generate positive brand experience.
  • Define and evolve Reporting and Social Listening frameworks to generate and communicate actionable business/industry insights that inform and optimize EMEAR and local marketing strategy.
  • Ability to synthesise large amounts of data into actionable information.
  • Research and stay up to date of all social media trends, platforms, developments, vendors

Essential skills/Knowledge

  • Experienced in leading and managing direct reports as well as guiding social and digital in-country managers in a highly matrixed international environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experienced with management and roll out of Social Management, Reporting & Advocacy Platforms on a regional level.
  • Proven experience in developing successful multi-faceted digital and social media campaigns including strategy development & execution.
  • Expert knowledge of social media tools and content creation

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree and 5+ years of experience creating social strategy & advocacy program in a digital marketing environment or equivalent experience gained in industry.
  • Experience leveraging analytics tools to make data-driven decisions
