Senior Service Delivery Manager - Network and Cyber Security Operations - Greater Manchester

A Senior Service Delivery Manager - Network and Cyber Security Operations - a highly experienced Service Delivery/Operations Manager from a networking, infrastructure or cyber-security background looking for the scope to develop your career as a part of a global organisation.

The Role

You will join a forward-thinking Global Technology Organisation, providing products, solutions, and managed services to a wide range of customers across the UK and Internationally.

You will use your service delivery experience to provide leadership in the delivery Managed Security Services, and have oversight of the Security Analysts, Engineers and Technicians within the SOC.

The Integrated Security Operations Centre (SOC) operates with teams across Digital Forensics, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Network Security, End-point Encryption and SIEM Monitoring. It will be your responsibility to ensure collaboration across these teams to maintain delivery standards to customer SLAs.

You will be responsible for managing Security personnel, budgeting and other resourcing requirements and report directly to the Head of SOC. Additionally, as required you will be asked to provide consulting or advisory services in the implementation of strategy for growth across the global organisation and work with external organisations and academia to develop talent and collaboration in the field of cyber security.

Skills and Experience

You will hold ITIL accreditation or 5+ years experience managing IT operations to ITIL standards. Experience in managing the delivery of business change, transition and transformation activities, BAU service and service improvement initiatives

You will be educated to degree level, or have equivalent experience in a business, or service delivery capacity and have experience of managing a team of 30+ technician, engineers or analysts.

Above all of this however you will be a passionate and forward thinking individual with current knowledge of the cyber threat landscape and a commitment to ongoing service improvement.

Salary and Benefits

The Salary is negotiable dependent on experience. The role requires core working hours, and some on call as necessary. Car allowance is provided as part of your package along with excellent company benefits and pension. The company will provide flexible working hours or details of relocation packages on a case by case basis.

The Ideal Candidate Personal Profile

Previous experience working in a Security Operations or Network Security environment is desirable but not essential. This role is perfect for a candidate who has demonstrated a keen interest in the security industry and has current insights into global cybersecurity threats and trends. This is a non-static position and there is exciting scope for development across divisions and into executive level roles.

Desirable qualities include excellent interpersonal and professional skills, relevant industry experience and a service delivery mentality.
