Senior Project Manager

We are actively looking to secure an innovative and pragmatic Senior Project Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

We require an experienced Senior Project Manager to work on the delivery and management of multiple projects, to be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with the client's company strategy, commitments and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to the client PM methodology.
  • Prepare Project Proposals and Project Initiation documentation.
  • Identify, assess, manage and communicate risks and issues pertaining to the success of the Project.
  • Escalate matters of significance as appropriate.
  • Prepare realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and track activities against the Project schedule, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Manage the budget (cost, price, and timescales), level of resources, and manage through the change control procedure where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
  • Provide reports/updates to appropriate management, boards and committees.
  • Provide effective leadership to the Project team and take appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
  • Ensure that Projects are formally closed and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.

Essential Skills

  • Managing large complex transformation projects
  • Proven track record of delivering on time / on budget
  • Strong Stakeholder / Customer facing experience is a must in a challenging environment
  • Excellent focus on financial management
  • Ability to work in a faced paced environment
  • Ability to think outside the box and work through challenges
  • Experience in management of Third party supplier relationships.
  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Experience of managing teams in a Matrix environment.
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Understanding of stakeholder Relationship and management.
  • Experience of requirements gathering.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines.
  • Organisational skills to balance and prioritise work.
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and Clients.
  • Personal computer and business solutions software skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
