The Data Centre Infrastructure Services (DCIS) organization provides shared infrastructure, software, and services for Thomson Reuters business units worldwide. An exciting and dynamic organization, DCIS ensures the operational efficiency and effectiveness of critical business systems, establishes technology infrastructure standards, and provides systems support and enhancements for Thomson Reuters' businesses.


The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will be the point of contact for Business Unit (BU) engagement for Financial & Risk (F&R) infrastructure deliverables within DCIS.

Key SPM responsibilities will include:

Act as a point of liaison for F&R BU infrastructure deliverables to support the BU project objectives.

Managing project intake into DCIS; support the BU request for escalation and project prioritization. Ensuring that all projects are being run in accordance with the groups best practice; proactive management of business unit and data centre roadmaps.

Support BAU and service requests and escalate as necessary.

Advocate the DCIS services and standards and support the BU initiatives to transform infrastructure to the DCIS strategic infrastructure platform (SIP).

Rigorously champion and maintain an awareness to maintain a high watermark for service. Be vigilant at all times for a potential threat to our production service without compromise.

Essential day to day responsibilities
- Proactive management, effective control, leadership and responsibility for the delivery of the BU projects
- Ensures that all projects within the BU portfolio are managed in accordance with the groups best practice & processes.
- Delivers projects within the constraints of scope, time and cost to agreed levels of quality, within the organization's project management framework.
- Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
- Champion DCIS engagement Process and communicate process to the BU
- Effectively manage project team conflicts, build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, and Internal DCIS team.
- Estimates costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed scope and constraints.
- Prepares and maintains project plans and tracks activities against the plan / budget
- Partners with the BU portfolio to agree and mange project roadmaps and road map budget.
- Highlight initiatives or dependencies that could impact the delivery of BU projects.
- Monitors costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances.

- Manages change control gaining agreement for revisions from project stakeholders.
- Provides effective leadership to the project team ensuring members are motivated and developing their skills and experience..
- Develops successful relationships with Data Centre and Business stakeholders.
- Acts as a point of contact for business unit stakeholders to manage BAU requests

-Follow DCIS Service management processes (SM9) for infrastructure changes

- Supports engagement into the BU for delivery of DCIS sponsored programs
- Leads by example, with energy, passion, enthusiasm and acts with integrity.

- Takes and interest and actively participates in driving the DCIS Transformation initiatives throughout the business

-Takes responsibility to maintain a live service without interruption or outage whilst running project implementations.

Qualifications

Required Skills

- Experience of Data Centre Infrastructure deployment

- Exposure to Data centre technologies, Networking, Virtual, Storage etc

- A background in Financial Services - Real time, Trading technologies.

- Project Management Skills

- Excellent Communication skills

- Stakeholder management

- Project Management qualification - Prince 2, PMI PMP

- ITIL Service Management experience

- Exposure to Agile ways of working

- Familiarity of lean practices (Kanban)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

- This position may require some travel, approx 10%
