A new 22 week contract opportunity has come up for an experience Senior Project Manager within the Telecom sector.
This contract position is with a well known telecoms company within the UK who are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead on the shaping and delivery of their FTTP project with end to end responsibility across all contributing delivery workstreams. You will have full responsibility for the planning, communication and active management of the project.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Management and delivery of the FTTP plan ensuring all workstreams are resourced and delivered through the delivery framework
- Day to day management of Project Delivery Managers, BA's and Knowledge Management
- Will be responsible for the sizing/shaping and scoping of all delivery
- Establish and maintain influential and effective relationships with senior stakeholders
- Be the initial point of escalation for Ops and Technical issues during implementation
- Identify potential areas of conflict across workstreams, business units or between projects and actively manage
- Influence planning and delivery of strategic and tactical change programmes through delivery of key outputs including planning, analysis and management of resources to ensure effective integration into the operational areas
- Produce and manage an integrated E2E Plan for the delivery of the FTTP programme through to launch calling out and managing risks, assumptions and dependencies related to delivery
Core Background and skills:
- Minimum 7 years' experience as a Project Manager
- Demonstratable experience of being able to strategise, bringing a new product to new markets in volume
- Change Delivery/Compliance experience
- PRINCE2 Qualified
- Telecoms/FTTP experience
- Demonstrable experience of change delivery projects
- Strong leader, communicator, influencer and negotiator
- High organisation and prioritisation skills that is a natural problem solver
