The Product Design team are responsible for the on-screen design and definition of many well-known products across the UK, Italy, Germany and Austria, our pioneering, award winning connected TV set-top-boxes, and the effortless and engaging branded phone and tablet apps.

Your skillset

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be expected to have thorough and mature cross-platform knowledge of both UX and UI. We are looking for an outstanding Designer with the ability to solve problems for our customers, explore new ways of discovering content, and understand how motion and interaction serves the overall experience and to visualise the interface that marries the experience with the brand.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Product Design team, you'll be part of a team whose mission is to design and help bring to market exceptional products that customers love.

Your responsibilities fall into three broad categories:

Knowledge and Critical Thinking

  • Understand product briefs and requirements;
  • Identify multiple solutions and explore benefits and trade-offs;
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of customer insights;
  • Frame problems and opportunities in the context of their impact on products;
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of design, technology & business changes in the industry;
  • Maintain expertise in associated software, and industry trends.

Creativity, Craft and Quality

  • Explore problem solving through ideation and prototyping to create greater clarity and insight to the problem;
  • Create wireframes, user journeys and low fidelity prototypes;
  • Create pixel perfect UI through mature knowledge of visual design principles, maintaining the relationship between our premium experience and brand;
  • Create, deliver and maintain design specifications and assets across product platforms;
  • Ensure consistency with brand guidelines and design style guides;
  • Help drive the design process, developing solutions from start to finish.

Collaboration, Communication and Influence

  • Collaborate with product, engineering and other stakeholders to help create briefs and develop product requirements;
  • Present work with confidence to stakeholders across the business;
  • Self-manage workload and assist in the workload of others;
  • Act as mentor to Product Designers and share knowledge across the team.
